Tustin Dad Creates 'Scary Fairy' Elaborate Costume For Daughter

TUSTIN (CBSLA.com) — Isabella Sansevero doesn't need to shop for Halloween costumes because her father makes them for her every year, but not just any ordinary getup.

Every year, Daryl Sansevero creates for his daughter elaborate costumes that have her friends green with envy.

"There's the love, and I always tell her that there's nothing greater on this earth than love. That's what we put into this, and I love doing this for her," Daryl said.

Isabella's costume this year is called Scary Fairy. "I was like enough of all the cutesy stuff because I want to do something scary and frightening," she said.

Last year, the nine-year-old was fitted with a replica of Katy Perry's carousel dress. The year before that, she was white peacock that lit up.

This year, the Scary Fairy costume is adorned with 860 red LED's that light up from Isabella's tiara to her fingertips.

The design and creation of the masterpiece would have cost thousands of dollars. But it only cost a fraction of that, thanks to Daryl's professional designer friend, Giselle Becker.

The father and daughter go to Becker at the end of every summer with a request to design her next elaborate costume.

And the duo spent more 60 hours together working on the costume -- something Daryl said he looks forward to every year and will cherish the time with his daughter forever.
