Bicyclist In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Vehicle In Street Race
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A bicyclist was in critical condition late Thursday after being struck by at least one vehicle that authorities believe was involved in a street race.
Witnesses said drivers in a white pickup and a black passenger car appeared to have been racing along Fairview Street in Santa Ana shortly before 10 p.m. Drivers in both vehicles fled after the bicyclist was struck.
The bicyclist was taken to a trauma center in critical condition.
Police continue to search for the two vehicles believed to have been involved in the street race.
