Suspect Wounded In Officer-Involved Shooting In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com)  —  A suspect was rushed to the hospital Thursday evening following an officer-involved shooting.

The suspect's condition is not known.

Long Beach Police said no officers were hurt in the incident.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m.  in the 200 block of Rivo Alto Canal in the Naples area, police said.

Sky9's Stu Mundel said Naples Island is an exclusive area with multi-million dollar homes.

It was unclear what led to the shooting but police said the suspect was armed and brandished a weapon
