Public’s Help Sought To Locate Missing 47-Year-Old Man In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff’s deputies sought the public’s help Wednesday to locate a 47-year-old man who has been reported missing in Los Angeles.

James Thomas Wilson was last seen leaving work around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Long Beach on his way home to Compton, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives described Wilson as a bald African American man who has brown eyes, wears glasses, stands 6-foot-3 tall and weighs 169 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and tan pants.

Wilson suffers from schizophrenia and is developmentally disabled, authorities said. He is unable to care for himself.

Anyone with information regarding Wilson’s whereabouts has been urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500.
