Friend Says Former 'Apprentice' Contestant Was 'Unsettled' By Alleged Interaction With Trump

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An attorney for Summer Zervos -- a former contestant on "The Apprentice" who accused Donald Trump of sexual misconduct -- released further details on Sunday.

Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents Zervos, appeared at an afternoon press conference with Ann Russo, a licensed clinical social worker, and friend of Zervos since 2010.

As Russo explains, Zervos had confided in her that after her appearance on "The Apprentice," that she met with Trump to explore job opportunities.

"Summer told me that he was verbally, physically, and sexually aggressive with her and that she had rebuffed his advances," Russo said.

Allred explains that she was contacted by Russo after last Friday's news conference in which Zervos came forward with allegations against Trump of sexual misconduct.

"Ann came forward because in 2010, Summer told her that Mr. Trump had been verbally, physically, and sexually suggestive with her," said Allred.

Zervos appeared on season five of "The Apprentice" back in 2005. She claimed Trump sexually assaulted her in 2007 when she requested to meet with the Republican presidential nominee to discuss job opportunities.

On Friday, Zervos told the room packed with reporters that Trump asked her to dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel, but that when she arrived, she was led to a bungalow instead.

Zervos claims Trump met her with an open-mouth kiss, and alleges that Trump placed his hand on her breast.

"Summer was unsettled by this interaction, but believed at the time that Mr. Trump knew it was a mistake," Russo said. "She said that she felt like this was a special circumstance and he understood that it was not OK for him to behave that way."

Zervos was the sixth woman to come forward last week accusing Trump of sexual misconduct. Trump has denied all allegations.

"Since then, Mr. Trump and his organization have gone on the attack, as he has done with respect to each of the women who have come forward with allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviors by Mr. Trump," said Allred.

"In Summer's case, Mr. Trump has denied meeting with her after she was no longer a contestant on 'The Apprentice' and categorically denies meeting her at the Beverly Hills Hotel or engaging in any improper conduct toward her," said Allred.

On Sunday, Allred also presented text messages she says were exchanged between John Barry, Zervos' cousin, and Zervos.

Barry last week issued a statement, which was posted on Trump's official website, in which he disputed Zervos' allegations against Trump.

CBS2's Greg Mills says Barry said Zavros was a Trump supporter but believes she turned on him after he declined an invitation to attend an event at the family restaurant in Huntington Beach.

Mills asked Allred if that was true and she told him she didn't have enough information to comment.

But Allred suggests there was a rift between the families as Barry at one time worked in the family restaurant, and he believed he had been fired.

"We think that Summer's cousin may harbor ill will towards Summer and her family and that may explain his public statement," said Allred. "There was a rift in reference to his employment status, and why his employment status was what it was."

Mills asked Allred why Zavros was not at Sunday's news conference to which she replied, "She is  working. She's doing her job."
