Locals Outraged After Video Surfaces Of Buck With Arrow Stuck In Neck

MONROVIA (CBSLA.com) — Locals in Monrovia are outraged after a video surfaced showing a buck with an arrow sticking through its neck.

We do want to warn you, the video of the injured buck is disturbing. It was taken by Dave Fernandez in front of his home.

"I had to take a second look. I didn't understand what I was seeing at that point," Fernandez said.

It is a five-point buck, and if you look closely, you can see an arrow sticking out of its neck. The animal appears to have no trouble walking, and while there is no sign of blood, it's clear the buck needs medical attention.

Wardens with the Department of Fish and Wildlife learned about this wounded deer a couple of days ago and tried to find him but have not had any luck.

If the wounded deer is spotted, the Department of Fish and Wildlife says it will come out and tranquillize the animal to get him medical attention.

"It's important that we respect them. This is their area and we're just here invading their property," Monrovia resident Mary Lou Mancini said.
