Making a bet with dire consequences and publishing it on the internet for all to see is never a great idea, mainly because if you lose the internet will hold you accountable. For example, there’s this guy who made an internet wager and had to eat his own sock as a result.
Now, a Dodgers fan has joined the list of fans who made wagers they’d come to regret.
Here’s what the fan said back in January of this year.
This year Blanton was more than solid in relief for the Dodgers and wound up with a 2.48 ERA while pitching 80 innings — more than enough to doom this fan to a day his stomach might never forgive him for.
I guess you just have to tip your hat to the guy for holding up his end of the bargain and thank his friends for documenting it for all of our amusement.
