Search Underway For Cypress Woman Missing Near Lake Arrowhead

CYPRESS (CBSLA) — A search was underway Tuesday for a missing Cypress woman.

Jasveen Dhaliwal was last seen at about 1 p.m. Monday when her mother dropped her off at her home in Cypress, according to police.

The California Highway Patrol on Tuesday found her abandoned car in the Lake Arrowhead area, with her purse and belongings still inside, police said.

The 25-year-old woman was driving a blue 2005 four-door Infiniti G35 with the California license plate of 6TEM639.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies said they found footprints, and search dogs did pick up on her scent in the area where her vehicle was found.

Helicopters were deployed to help with the search Tuesday. If she was not found overnight, searchers will resume looking for her Wednesday morning.

Investigators said Dhaliwal's phone and laptop were left at home.

She is 5-foot-6, 109 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

She was wearing blue jeans, a red checkered shirt and a navy blue sweatshirt. Her tattoos include pictures of a rose on her leg.

Her family said she is a nursing student and had graduated from Cypress College.

If you have seen her, call Cypress police at (714) 229-6600.
