PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Generosity seems to be going around in Pasadena.

After an anonymous animal lover slipped a pile of crisp new $20 bills totaling $8,000 into a Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA donation box last week, another donor decided to follow suit.

The agency said they were told to check their donation box by a mysterious phone call Saturday.

Pasadena Humane Society staffers found another generous and anonymous donation inside a white envelope — $2,000 in cash. A note written on a Starbucks napkin said, “Got the inspiration last week – Please save the animals, for some of us it’s all we have left.”
