Woman Dies After Being Struck By Train In Riverside

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in Riverside are investigating the death of a woman who was struck by a train late Saturday night.

The incident was reported just before midnight Saturday at Iowa and Palmyrita avenues, authorities said.

According to a witness, the woman had walked onto the train tracks, and was struck.

First responders arrived on scene, but the woman had succumbed to her injuries.

The identity of the woman has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation.
