Woman Accused Of Leading Police On Chase Through Several SoCal Cities In Custody

ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — A woman is in custody Sunday morning after authorities say she led police on a chase through Orange County.

The incident unfolded after police say they tried to stop the woman on a suspected DUI charge just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

But, they say, rather than stopping, officers chased the vehicle through several cities.

Eventually, officers deployed spike strips, which slowed the vehicle down but did not stop the driver.

The chase finally ended on Tustin Avenue in Orange.

The woman was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, and evading police.
