Police Seek Knife-Wielding Suspect Near Disneyland

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A man and a woman remained hospitalized Friday for treatment of injuries sustained during two separate stabbing incidents that occurred near Disneyland.

According to police, officers responded around 8 p.m. Thursday to the 1100 block of W. Ball Road for report of a stabbing.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a 32-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering from a an apparent stab wound.

Minutes later, a second call reported a woman suffering from a stab wound in front of a Holiday Inn located in the 1200 block of S. Walnut Street.

Authorities located a 30-year-old woman in front of the hotel upon their arrival.

Paramedics transported both victims to a hospital in critical condition. An update on their conditions was not immediately known.

A preliminary investigation revealed both victims were stabbed by the same suspect.

Detectives described the suspect as a Hispanic man who wore jeans and a hoodie. He is believed to be between the ages of 20 and 30, and weighs no more than 240 pounds.

At this time, it remains unclear if the victims were together or if the attacks were separate crimes.

Police clarified that the Disneyland Resort had no connection to the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
