Bill Clinton Speaks At Beverly Hills Fundraisers

BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Former President Bill Clinton spoke Tuesday in place of his wife at two Beverly Hills-area fundraisers benefiting her presidential campaign.

The first fundraiser was held at the home of TV producer and filmmaker Seth McFarlane and included a performance by singer Lionel Richie.

Tickets for the event were $5,000, $10,000 and $33,400 per person.

Clinton then attended a $100,000 per couple dinner at the home of Barry Diller, chairman and senior executive of the media and Internet company IAC and the travel company Expedia.

Hillary's campaign stop in Southern California was canceled last week after her abrupt departure from a Sept. 11 ceremony in New York.

The presidential candidate's campaign initially blamed her departure from the ceremony on "overheating," but later disclosed she was diagnosed with pneumonia.
