Actor Drake Bell Sentenced To Jail, Probation For DUI Charge

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Actor Drake Bell has been sentenced to prison for driving under the influence in Glendale last year, officials said Tuesday.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Bell was ordered to spend four years on probation and four days in county jail.

The 30-year-old actor was also ordered to complete an alcohol program and comply with any DMV orders and restrictions on his driving privileges.

Bell entered a no contest plea late Friday to one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol within 10 years of another DUI offense.

He also admitted allegations of refusing to take a chemical test and that he was convicted in 2010 of driving under the influence in San Diego.

The actor was arrested on Dec. 21, 2015, after driving erratically on San Fernando Road.

According to the district attorney's office, Bell could be charged with murder if he commits any future DUIs that result in someone's death.

The actor is known for his work in the TV series "The Ultimate Spider-Man" as well as "Superhero Movie," "Drake & Josh" and "The Amanda Show."
