Single Mother Goes Extra Mile To Make Sure Son Doesn't Feel Void

FORT WORTH, Texas (CBSLA.com) — Being a single parent oftentimes means wearing multiple hats and being both a mom and dad.

Perhaps that's why single mother -- Yevette Vasquez of Fort Worth, Texas -- decided to dress the part when she realized her son's school was hosting a "Donuts with Dad" event.

She explains that she found out about the event as they were pulling up to campus last week.

"As I was dropping him off, I ask him why there was so many cars," she wrote via Facebook. "He said donuts with dad, so we quickly went back home cause I wasn't about to let him miss out."

As Vasquez explains, she raced home and changed into a plaid shirt and baseball cap. She even added a fake mustache.

Vasquez shared images of the event on Facebook, which have since gone viral, having been shared over 5,000 times, and liked over 15,000 times.
