Gunman Wanted In Connection With Shooting Death Of Man In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives Monday sought the public's help to locate a person of interest wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 42-year-old man.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers are attempting to locate 38-year-old Ishmell Augustus Sasso.

Sasso is an African American man who stands 5-foot-5 tall and weighs around 165 pounds.

Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Glen Troy Jones became involved in a verbal dispute with his friends and an unknown man at a home located near the 400 block of East 41st Street.

Detectives said the suspect produced a semi-automatic handgun and fired multiple rounds, striking Jones.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
