Chris Brown's Attorney Asks 'What Gun?'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  Chris Brown's attorney Mark Geragos asks "What gun?"

Geragos said Friday there was no gun found when the singer was arrested earlier this week.

He also said Friday there was a lot of false information floating around about this case, and he wanted to clear it up.

KCAL9's Randy Paige was one of the reporters invited to Geragos' downtown office Friday.

"There are a number of things that have been reported that have been false," Geragos said.

Geragos said he is unaware of a shred of evidence that supports Baylee Curran's assertion that Brown pulled a gun on her while she was visiting his Tarzana estate Tuesday morning.

Brown was later placed under arrest on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after police searched his home with Geragos present.

Paige asked Geragos if there wasn't a shred of evidence supporting Curran's version of events, why was Brown arrested?

"This is what I know: I know that I was there, there were as far as I can tell no drugs found, I know as far as I can tell there were no guns found in the house, I know as far as I can tell that he was cooperative," Geragos said.

When Curran spoke to "Entertainment Tonight," she insisted Brown had a gun.

"He was threatening me with the gun, in my face," she said.

"I do recall him taking it from his side," she added, "so I don't now if he was already strapped with it."

She's sticking by that claim.

The LAPD is not saying what, if anything, was found during the search of Brown's home. But it is clear they found enough evidence to place him under arrest. Now it will be up to the DA's office to decide if charges will be filed.
