Man Wanted For Stabbing 2 Cal State Fullerton Students

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday searched for a man who stabbed two Cal State Fullerton students near campus.

Police responded to a report of an altercation in the 2100 block of Teri Place just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers found two Pi Kappa Phi fraternity brothers stabbed in the chest and arm, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

Paramedics transported the victims to a hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

The stabbing happened in an alley behind a fraternity house, where a party was going on at the time.

"They party there all the time. They come here every single Friday Saturday," one neighbor said.

"All I heard was a bunch females yelling really loud and a couple dudes saying: 'Watch out! The guy has a knife.'," said one witness. "It's never been that bad. It's always been a couple fights here and there, but nothing like a stabbing."

Some neighbors think the stabber may be an outsider who was not allowed in to the party.

"I don't think it's the fraternities. I think it's the people that come to them," a neighbor said.

The fraternity declined to comment.

Detectives are now reviewing security video that shows the stabbing in hopes of identifying the assailant.

He is described as a Hispanic man believed to be between 18 and 20 years old, 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighs no more than 175 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a baseball style cap, a dark shirt and dark pants.

College girls, who live on the street, say they do not feel safe until the assailant is caught.

Anyone with information regarding this case has been urged to contact the Fullerton Police Department at (714) 738-6753.
