34-Hour Closure On Eastbound 210 In Pasadena Starts Saturday Night

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — More road work will shut down the Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena, this time on the eastbound side of the roadway.

All eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway will be closed between Mountain Street and Lake Avenue starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, continuing for 34 hours. The freeway is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.

The eastbound 210 connector to the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway will also be closed, along with the eastbound 210 on-ramps at Lincoln Avenue and Mountain Street.

The closure, which follows two recent 55-hour closures on the westbound lanes in the same area, is part of an effort to repair and repave the roadway.

The closures are part of a $148.5 million pavement rehabilitation project in both directions of I-210 in the cities of Glendale, La Canada Flintridge and Pasadena, according to Caltrans. The projects are scheduled to finish by 2019.
