Deputies Looking For Driver Who Fired Shots At Family's SUV
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) – LA County sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who fired several shots at a family's SUV Monday night, in a case of road rage that apparently started because of a windshield washer.
The family of four was traveling in a Cadillac Escalade around 6:30 p.m. Monday on Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, when a man in a gray Honda Civic pulled alongside and began harassing them. At some point, he yelled that the Escalade's windshield washer had sprayed his car.
The driver of the SUV tried to get away, but the man chased the family, tailgating and even forcing the Escalade into a center median strip. The Civic driver then pulled out a handgun and fired two shots, blowing out one of the Escalade's tires.
The man took off westbound on Soledad Canyon Road.
The road rage shooting was recorded by a dash camera on another vehicle.
No one was hurt.
The driver is described as a white male in his 20s, with a goatee. His car had temporary plates.
