ALTADENA (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department asked for the public's help Wednesday in tracking down whoever is behind a series of recent shootings in unincorporated Altadena.

The most recent shooting occurred at 9 p.m. on July 30 in the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue, where a man was wounded in his left leg, according to the sheriff's department, which said the shootings may have been gang-related.

Two shootings were reported on July 26 – one at 1:30 a.m., when a man was wounded on his left hand and left knee while in a car on Lake Avenue and Woodbury Road. An hour later, seven people were shot at in the 200 block of West Calaveras Street, but no one was injured.

The first shooting happened at 11 p.m. on July 25 in the 600 block of East Pine Street. A man and a woman in a car were fired on, and the man suffered wounds to his left palm and right wrist, investigators said. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was reported to be stable.
