Woman Called 'Michael Phelps Of Weight Loss' After Huge Transformation

SAN MATEO (CBSLA.com) — Jacqeline Adan once tipped the scales at 500 pounds. Her life began to change after a humiliating day at Disneyland, where she got stuck in a turnstile.

"I kind of got unstuck," said Adan. "I clawed my way out of there, didn't make eye contact with anyone."

Soon after, Adan began a journey that lasted almost five years and took about 350 pounds off her frame.

Adan, a preschool teacher, cleaned up her diet and worked out extensively.

"Unique? Absolutely 100 percent one of a kind, there's only one Jacqueline," said Adan's trainer Bo Kelly. "But her story will go on to inspire many more like her."

Adan now has about 30 pounds of excess skin. It's being taken off through a series of surgeries, but Adan isn't shy about showing her body, excess skin and all. She's posted a series of photos of herself on Instagram to inspire others.

"Whatever goal you have, if you work, believe in yourself, and keep going, you can achieve anything," Adan said. "Anything is possible."
