Amazon Unveils 1st Of Its Prime Air Cargo Planes

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Before Amazon's drones take flight, the company's jets will be in the air.

The online retailer unveiled the first of its Prime Air cargo planes Friday.

The branded airplane dubbed Amazon One will be one of a fleet of 40 leased aircraft.

The jets will give Amazon more control over logistics by having them rely less on delivery partners like the United Parcel Service.
