Downtown Disney Employee Accused Of Molesting 9-Year-Old Boy

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com)   —  As word spread about  the alleged sexual molestation arrest of a Disneyland employee involving a 9-year-old boy, officials say they fear there are more victims.

The boy was molested earlier this month.

KCAL9's Stacey Butler on Wednesday evening spoke to concerned parents.

"I think it's terrible. We go with our kids with the trust that the people in there, it's good people," said Alejandra Urena.

"These guys represent Disneyland. It's a place of magic," said Luis Galindo. "It's really bad. It's really, really bad,"

"If I knew what store he was working in, I wouldn't go in there, obviously with my children,: said park goer Sean Ciappa.

In the City of Industry, 23 miles from Disneyland, LA County Sheriff's said 45-year-old Richard Camarena forced open a bathroom stall in the Puente Hills Mall movie theater bathroom about two weeks ago while the boy was inside and inappropriately touched him.

The boy's mother reported the incident to police and Camarena was arrested.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Downtown Disney confirmed Camarena was employed at one of the retail stores there.

He has been placed on administrative leave pending the resolution of the investigation, the spokesperson said.

"I would expect that Disney vets their employees as well as anyone. You never know where the bad seeds lie," said Kerry Greene.

Butler reported that Camarena has no prior criminal arrest history.
