1 Dead After Shooting At Hawthorne Shopping Center

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives responded to a report of a shooting at the 12800 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in Hawthorne.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the man stumbled into a Crenshaw barbershop before passing away as a result of his injuries.

The incident occurred at the El Segundo Crenshaw Shopping Center, which was closed for the night as of 7 p.m, authorities said.

The intersection at El Segundo and Crenshaw Blvd's was also closed for the investigation, and CHP issued a corresponding SigAlert.

The victim's name is being withheld until his next of kin is notified.

The shooting allegedly took place around 4:10 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities do not have a suspect at this point.
