Metro Hops On 'Pokémon Go' Train To Promote Transit

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Metro is hoping to entice some new riders by promoting the transit system as a good place to "catch 'em all."

Metro has been tagging Twitter posts with the #PokemonGOMetro hashtag to highlight Pokemon found on buses and trains.

The agency has also launched an account, @PokemonGoMetro, to draw attention to gyms and Pokéstops along Metro's routes.

Pokemon Go taps into your smartphone's GPS and camera to overlay characters from the classic 90s video game into the real world. The objective is to traverse your city or town to capture all 151 creatures.
