Officials Identify Woman Found Dead In West Hollywood Dumpster

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Officials Thursday released the identity of a 28-year-old woman woman whose body was discovered in a dumpster in West Hollywood.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies located the body of Joie Kinney, of West Hollywood, around 11:57 a.m. Wednesday in the 8700 block of Beverly Boulevard, located across the street from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Kinney's body was wrapped in some kind of material inside the dumpster, deputies explained.

Officials believe her body was left in the area for quite some time.

Witnesses reported seeing suspicious activity in the area Tuesday evening.

No arrests have been made at this point, but detectives have persons of interest.

Authorities have not yet released Kinney's cause of death.
