Police Looking For 3 Suspects In Buena Park Gas Station Killing; Pictures Released

BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) — Buena Park police have released photos of three suspects, wanted in a homicide.

Maher Yousef, 24, of La Mirada, was shot at the Mobil gas station at 5989 Beach Boulevard Friday night. Police believe the suspects followed Yousef to the gas station in an attempt to rob him, because he worked at a check cashing business.

"Three male black suspects approached Yousef while he sat in the driver seat of his car. All three brandished weapons and demanded the money," Buena Park police Sgt Mike Lovchik said. "A brief struggle broke out between Yousef and one gunman from the driver window. A second hooded gunman approached the passenger side open door and shot Yousef in the head from close range."

Yousef was taken to UCI Hospital in critical condition. He later died.

According to police, the suspects ran away after the shooting.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspects.
