Pedestrian Dies After Police Say She Was Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver Twice, Second Vehicle

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are searching for a driver suspected of driving over a woman twice in Long Beach before fleeing the scene.

The first collision unfolded at approximately 12:46 a.m. Sunday in the area of Anaheim Street and Ohio Avenue.

It was there authorities say the woman was struck by a white or beige Ford Expedition while crossing Anaheim Street in an unmarked crosswalk.

After the crash, police say the vehicle reversed and made a right turn onto Ohio Avenue, hitting the pedestrian a second time before leaving the scene.

The woman was struck a third time by a 2006 Cadillac, who driver remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not be released.
