Identity Released Of Woman Who Drowned In Dana Point This Weekend

DANA POINT (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have released the identity of a woman they say drowned in Dana Point Harbor Saturday.

Eileen Taylor, 65, fell from a small boat that was transporting her, as well as her husband to a larger boat about 12:30 a.m.

"The husband dove in, was able to locate her and pulled her head above water," Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi told City News Service.

The man yelled for help and Harbor Patrol deputies responded, pulling the woman onto the dock where they began CPR.

Paramedics began advanced life support when they arrived and took Taylor to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach, where she was pronounced dead.

"The husband was obviously very distraught," Concialdi said. "He did everything he could."

The woman's death is the fifteenth drowning in O.C. in 2016, the captain said.
