Suspect Arrested In Connection With Redondo Beach Double Shooting

REDONDO BEACH (CBSLA.com) — The Redondo Beach Police department has arrested a suspect in connection with a double shooting that killed one person Thursday, the police department said.

Officers Thursday responded to reports of shots fired near the corner of Marine Ave. and Inglewood Ave. at around 4 p.m. and found one person was fatally shot and another had a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The police department opened a homicide investigation and subsequently arrested Erik Martinez, 19, on Friday evening while doing field work in Long Beach.

Martinez is being held in lieu of $2 million bail.
