Deputies Investigate Attempted Case Of Arson At DASH Boutique In WeHo

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Deputies Tuesday investigated an attempted case of arson at a clothing store in West Hollywood.

According to the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station, deputies were sent around 11:20 p.m. Monday to the 8400 block of Melrose Avenue for report of a structure fire.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned that an adult man threw a lit object through a broken window into a women's clothing store called DASH, which is owned by the Kardashian sisters.

The alarm company indicated a burglary alarm had been activated at the location as well, deputies said.

Los Angeles County firefighters removed the burning object from inside the store and determined a case of attempted arson has occurred.

Authorities said the device failed to ignite any items inside the store and damage to the property was limited to a shattered window and damaged floor tiles.

At this time, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this incident has been urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at (323) 881-7500.
