2 Fatally Shot After Drug Deal Goes Bad In Tarzana

TARZANA (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police detectives searched Friday for whoever fatally shot two people in Tarzana after a drug deal went bad in Tarzana.

The victims were found just before 4 p.m. Thursday in the 6100 block of Corbin Avenue, about three blocks south of Victory Boulevard, Los Angeles police Officer Tony Im said.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

"Something happened at that transaction, an altercation and shooting occurred. The suspects began chasing the victims," LAPD Detective Richard Wheeler told reporters at the scene.

"The suspects fired additional shots into that car and then reached it, and removed money, got back in his vehicle and fled the location."

A report from the scene showed a crashed dark sedan between two parked cars.
