Driver Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI Following Crash That Killed Girl In Malibu

MALIBU (AP) — Authorities say a 22-year-old woman who was severely injured in a single-car crash that killed her 2-year-old passenger was arrested at the hospital on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The California Highway Patrol says the 2-year-old girl died at the scene of the rollover crash Friday night in Malibu.

The driver sustained severe injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she was later placed in custody. Her condition was unknown Sunday.

Authorities did not immediately say what the relationship is between the driver and the little girl.
