Dodgers To Hold Two Date Night Events Featuring A Ballgame And A Movie

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to give new meaning to the term "doubleheader" this summer.

The first "doubleheader" will take place on July 9 when the Dodgers play the San Diego Padres. The second event is scheduled for Aug. 13 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Celebrating their thirtieth anniversaries this year, "Top Gun" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" will be the featured motion pictures.

"Top Gun" starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Tim Robbins and Meg Ryan, will be shown 15 minutes following the Dodgers-Padres 4:15 p.m. game on Saturday, July 9.

One of the most beloved comedies of all-time, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", starring Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara and Alan Ruck, will hit the screen at Dodger Stadium following the 1:05 p.m. game pitting the Dodgers and Pirates.

Fans can purchase tickets for both games by visiting the Dodgers website or by calling 866-DODGERS.
