Twitter Tweaking Its 140-Character Limit To Allow Users To Express More

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Can't squeeze your entire Tweet into just 140 characters?

Well, you're in luck as Twitter is tweaking its character limit.

The company says user names and image links will soon be taken out of a Tweet's total character count.

Twitter users will also soon be able to Retweet their own comments and allow others to see your once-private replies.

Though an exact timeline of when these changes will take effect hasn't yet been announced, the company says it's expected in the coming months.

Twitter has 300 million users but growth has been stagnant for a while.
