SoCal Woman Uses Cosby As Punching Bag

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  Lili Bernard says she's elated that a Pennsylvania judge ruled a sexual assault trial against comedian Bill Cosby can go forward.

"I have not forgotten what Bill Cosby did to me," Lili Bernard says. "It impacts me negatively daily."

Bernard says Cosby drugged and raped her in New Jersey in the '90s. She met him during a guest appearance on the final season of "The Cosby Show."

BILL COSBY ORDERED TO STAND TRIAL IN PENNSYLVANIA SEX ASSAULT CASE

Now, Bernard is a performance artist. During her shows, she's used a punching dummy with Cosby's picture on it while talking about assaults against women.

Bernard went to a police station to file a report against Cosby last year. She was told the statute of limitations had run out just months earlier. Prosecutors declined to file charges in Bernard's case. Cosby's attorneys have consistently denied he did anything wrong.

Bernard is working on a bill to eliminate the statute of limitations on sex crimes. She keeps in touch with the plaintiff in the Pennsylvania case, Andrea Constand, and hopes to testify against the entertainer someday.

"I have journal entries," Bernard says. "I can show you the journals that I have. I saved all that. The cassette recordings with his voice, with the hope that one day I can present this in a court of law to help."
