Bernie Sanders To Hold Campaign Rally In Carson

CARSON (CBSLA.com) —  Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will visit the Southland Tuesday to hold a Democratic presidential campaign rally.

Sanders will speak to the public at 5:00 p.m. in the tennis stadium located at the StubHub Center in Carson.

He is expected to speak about getting big money out of politics, his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public, although the campaign has encouraged people to RSVP online as admission will be first-come, first-served.

Due to security concerns, attendees have been urged to not bring bags and carry only small personal items, such as keys and cell phones.

Next week, rival Hillary Clinton will visit Los Angeles for a pair of fundraisers, followed by presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on May 25.

California Democrats will vote in the presidential primary election on June 7.
