Jenner Reportedly Considers 'De-Transition' Back To Bruce

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Caitlyn Jenner, who famously transitioned to a woman and became a celebrity advocate for the transgender community, may be considering going back to being Bruce, according to reports.

Biographer Ian Halperin, who wrote "Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America's Royal Family," told The Wrap she's having "sex change regret" and could go "back to being Bruce Jenner," Halperin told TheWrap.

According to Halperin, transitioning to a woman has "been very hard" for Jenner, who made her public debut as Caitlyn last June on the cover of Vanity Fair.

"She's thrilled she has raised awareness about how transgender people have long been discriminated against but I think there's a chance she'll de-transition in the next couple years," said Halperin. "It has been much harder than she anticipated."

A rep for Jenner denied the report to the New York Daily News, calling it "idiotic".

The report was largely met with skepticism on social media.

Jenner told Vanity Fair last year that she initially panicked after her facial-feminization surgery and thought "What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?"

The Olympic gold medalist filed an official name and gender-change petition in September. It wasn't immediately clear whether she would be required to file a separate petition in order to revert back to Bruce.
