Police Investigate How Body Wrapped In Plastic Ended Up Near Burbank Train Tracks

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Police are working Friday to determine how a body wrapped in plastic ended up in an open field near a Burbank lumber yard, and how that person died.

Someone reported seeing the body behind Stock Lumber at 640 N. Victory Blvd. about 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco said. Officers responded and found the body, whose feet were exposed, he said.

The man was identified Friday as 30-year-old Nshan Balyan, of North Hollywood, Losacco said. An autopsy was pending to determine the cause of death.

Detectives do not believe Balyan was killed at the location where his body was found, and it has not yet been determined where he died, Losacco said.

Anyone with information can call Burbank homicide detectives at (818) 238-3210.
