Crews Work To Repair Water Main Break In Fairfax District
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Crews Thursday worked to repair a water main break in the Fairfax District.
According to Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crews, an 8-inch pipe ruptured shortly after 3:00 a.m. in the area of Fairfax and Melrose avenues.
Officials have subsequently blocked off the area to allow for crews to make repairs to the roadway.
Los Angeles Department of Traffic officials are directing motorists in the area.
CBS2's Jennifer Kim recommended using Beverly Boulevard as an alternative route.
No customers have been affected by the incident.
Water has been shut off the in area and will be restored by this afternoon.
