Thousands Attend 42nd Annual Toyota Grand Prix Of Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — One of the largest racing events in Southern California is set to kick of in Long Beach.

The 42nd annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach runs from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, the third round of the 2016 Verizon IndyCar series will feature world-class drivers, including series champion Scott Dixon. The race will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Gates open at 7:00 a.m. each day.

General admission tickets for all three days cost $85. Day passes for Friday cost $30, Saturday $53 and Sunday $60.

Parking passes range in price between $15 to $50.

A Family Fun Zone will include rock climbing walls, games, racing simulators and action sports demonstrators.

The expo will host more than 130 exhibitors with the latest home, automotive, travel, recreation and entertainment products and services.

The weekend event, held at 300 East Ocean Boulevard, is expected to draw in 180,000 fans and visitors.
