Man Posing As Solar Energy Salesman Wanted In Rancho Palos Verdes Break-In

RANCHO PALOS VERDES (CBSLA.com) — Help is needed to identify a man who broke into a Rancho Palos Verdes home while posing as a solar energy salesman.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary alarm in the 6100 block of Arrowroot Lane at about 9 a.m. Wednesday and found a smashed glass door, Sgt. Thomas Arellano said.

However, the suspect had already left the location, and the deputies determined that the burglary took place sometime between 8:30 and 9 a.m.

Security video captured the suspect in the act of breaking in. He was described as white or Hispanic, in his late 20s to early 30s, with brown or black facial hair, wearing a brown, brimmed hat, black-frame glasses and a navy blue denim-type shirt and pants.

He was believed to be driving an older white Lexus sedan with a sunroof.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the man's identity can call the sheriff's Lomita Station at (310) 539-1661.
