4 Injured After Car Flies Off 101 Freeway Into Target Store

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Four people were hurt when the car they were in flew off the side of the Ventura (101) Freeway, crashed into a Target store in Woodland Hills and burst into flames.

The crash was reported off the Ventura Freeway near the De Soto Avenue off-ramp at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

The driver and a passenger were taken to Northridge Hospital, and two passengers were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, he said. Their conditions weren't immediately known.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
