2-Month-Old Reported Missing In Hesperia Found In Good Condition; Mother Arrested On Suspicion Of Child Endangerment

HESPERIA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in Hesperia said an infant reported missing on Saturday night was found Sunday in good condition.

The infant's mother was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.

San Bernardino deputies responded to a call at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday that a 2-month-old, Ashlynn Thomas, was missing.

Deputies later learned that the infant was seen at the Days and Nights Inn on Bear Valley Road earlier that day. Deputies and detectives were not able to get further information of the infant's whereabouts from the family, friends and acquaintances of the infant's mother, Tina Baxter, the sheriff's department said.

Tina Baxter was subsequently arrested and booked on charges of child endangerment. Baxter was described in a sheriff's department press release as a transient living in the High Desert area.
