New Image Emerges Of Suspect Who Allegedly Raped Van Nuys Salon Employee At Closing Time

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) —  Van Nuys detectives with the LAPD are asking for the public's help in identifying a sexual assault suspect who allegedly attacked a hair salon employee as she was closing up shop Tuesday evening.

Officials said it was around 7  p.m. when the suspect entered a business in the 14500 block of Vanowen, grabbed the victim, and dragged her to the rear of the location.

The suspect sexually assaulted the victim, and eventually left the area.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old Latino with black hair, unknown color eyes. He stands around 6 feet and weighs around 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green jacket and blue pants.

Police told City News Service the woman's ordeal lasted about a half hour and the suspect also beat and choked his victim.
