2 Women Wanted For Allegedly Stealing Small Dog From Van Nuys Home

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Monday to provide information that would lead to the arrest of two women who allegedly stole a small dog from a home in Van Nuys.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Micky the dog was taken from his home located in the 1300 block of Erwin Street on Saturday.

Surveillance video captured a woman taking Micky from the front yard area. She then proceeded to walk off of the property and onto a sidewalk where she met another woman.

Both suspects walked away from the area, heading eastbound on Erwin Street with Micky.

The owner reported the incident to police after she reviewed the security video.

According to police, Micky has since been returned to his owner.

Detectives described the first suspect as a Hispanic woman who has brown hair, stands 5-foot-3 tall and weighs around 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a light colored shirt with dark pants and sandals.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic woman who stands 5-foot-3 tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a striped shirt with dark pants.
