1-Year-Old Dies After Being Hit By Pickup Truck In Anaheim
ANAHEIM (AP) — Authorities in Orange County say a 1-year-old girl died after she was hit by a pickup truck in the driveway of her family's home in Anaheim.
Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt says the child's 22-year-old aunt was backing the pickup out of the driveway after a birthday party Saturday when she felt the truck strike something.
Wyatt says the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
He tells the Orange County Register that investigators don't believe alcohol or drugs were a factor and the incident is being treated as a tragic accident.
