Upcoming Exhibit At Museum In O.C. To Feature Mummies Dating Back As Far As 4,500 Years

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — The Bowers Museum is scheduled to display a collection of real mummies and other artifacts in an upcoming exhibit.

The exhibit dubbed Mummies of the World is expected to open March 19th in Santa Ana and will include a display of mummies, some dating back as far as 4,500 years!

The museum says the collection of mummies is from across the globe and will feature more than 150 artifacts, including about 40 authentic mummies.

Organizers say it shows how people and cultures have thrived for thousands of years.

Nearly 1.5 million people have seen the exhibit since its debut in 2010, but this is the first time it has been in Orange County.

Weekend tickets to the exhibit are $27 for adults; $23 for seniors (ages 62 and up) and students (ages 12-17), and $12 for children (ages 3-11).

The exhibit ends Sept. 5th.
