Public's Help Sought To Locate Serial Burglar In Rolling Hills

ROLLING HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities sought the public's help Thursday to capture a 62-year-old serial burglar.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, Charles Eugene Vaca is wanted in connection with a series of residential burglaries in the city of Rolling Hills.

Vaca, who is a local transient with ties to Torrance, Redondo Beach and Harbor City, was connected to the burglaries through DNA evidence, detectives explained.

According to deputies, Vaca has a history of lying about his true identity when questioned by law enforcement. He has used the alias "Ryan Baca" in the past and is known to frequent walking trails throughout the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Detectives described him as a Hispanic man who has brown hair and brown eyes. He stands five feet ten inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.

An arrest warrant for more than $1 million has been issued for Vaca for residential burglary.
